Our Program
ESP at Rose City, NE Portland is a state certified preschool center. Although this is our first year of operating, we are highly trained and experienced childcare providers. Our current location has been an established home like a center-based program for over 50 years. This center is specifically designed and prepared to provide a child-oriented, nurturing environment that enables children the freedom to explore, absorb, critically think, and discover at their own pace and according to their own interests and developmental needs.
Our program is designed for your child’s success, and we ensure this through careful assessment of your child’s development needs and provide the curriculum at a level that recognizes the differences we all have in how we learn. Our role is to provide the child the tools and understanding of how to use them so that they learn at an appropriate pace and without overwhelming or losing their attention as we nurture their development.
ESP is a multicultural and inclusive preschool program. We provide an early learning platform for all children; empowering parents, and honoring and incorporating their languages, life experiences, religious beliefs, and cultural and traditional values.

Our program serves children ages 2.5 through 6 years old and is open all year round
Typical hours of operation: Monday – Friday from 7.30am - 5.30 pm
Our Philosophy
Our primary objective at ESP is to provide a positive learning experience whilst ensuring your child is able to be themselves, and they feel completely safe and at ease with who they are and with those around them. We believe that every child deserves a chance to flourish and practice independent thinking in a safe environment designed to encourage creativity, equity and learning. We recognize and embrace all cultures and beliefs and we enable the diverse and inclusive learning experience which we believe will permit our preschoolers to thrive as they progress through their educational journey.
Respect yourself, Respect others, and Respect your surroundings, are guiding principles which we have found to be instrumental in providing the structural boundaries for each child to flourish. Children are given the opportunity to better understand these rules through the natural process of experiential learning. Through these principles, children at ESP learn to respect differences in others, including diversity of ethnicity, ability, and culture which creates a naturally inclusive environment.

Inclusive Care
Nutrition and Food Service
ESP prepares and provides a daily healthy breakfast, lunch, and morning and afternoon snacks for all children. Meals are served family style, creating additional opportunities for the children’s social and language development. Teachers sit with children and join them in the meal and conversation. We welcome parents to join us. We work with parents who have children with special dietary needs to understand how we can accommodate their needs.
